'Blue Lochan'

A lot of the credit for this image goes to Joe Cornish - his dedication to hunting down new viewpoints and locations and his willingness to share them with others is inspiring.

This is close to a place made famous through images by Paul Wakefield and David Ward, but this is a view I have not seen.

As is often the case in situations like this, I made a number of images as the light changed. Whilst I have some with the last light of the day, it is this image, for me, that sticks out because of the balance and colour contrast (blues and browns); shortly after this the small tree on the right lost its light and the image lost its balance.
