'Snow over the Hole of Horcum'

The Hole of Horcum is an amazing natural feature that dominates the landscape of the North Yorkshire Moors on the road from Pickering to Whitby.

This is a composition I have had my eye on for some time, trying it in a variety of conditions.

The opportunity to create this 'monochromatic' interpretation came with an unusually early fall of snow.

Linhof Technikardan, 150mm lens, Provia 100, graduated filter. Scanned with a Epson V700.
