Bamburgh in Northumberland has a magnificient stretch of coastline and it is one of my favourite places. The sands and grasses are wonderful, reminding me much of Woolacombe.

I have made several images of the castle over the years but none of them had ever come close to satsifying me.

However on this trip I managed to catch a sunset with some magnificient clouds and late light.

I particularly like the relationship between the grasses and the castle in this image and the lit mid ground helps to add depth to the image.
