'Branch Over the River'
I made this image on a trip to the Peak District with Julian Ashley, Julian was introducing me to an area I had never really visited in my hill walking days and we chose padley gorge as a good introduction.
We spent the morning walking down the gorge and I managed to make one image of the oak trees that I was very pleased with. However it was incredibly complex and then the light got up.
We stopped for a bite to eat and suddenly I noticed this branch over the river. The light enhanced rather than detracted from the image and sandwich in hand I started to setup.
Technical Details: Linhof Technikardan, 240mm lens, Velvia 50, no filtration.
