Sometimes a picture is just a little more than the sum of its parts.
'Puddle'
I made this image one frosty morning in late winter in the Yokshire Wolds. Visiting Bailey Dale with Paul Moon we had pretty much packed up for the session when I noticed a small puddle near my car that was iced up.
The frozen air bubbles were wonderful and I asked Paul to shield the scene with my dark cloth so that the image would be lit by the reflected light from the blue sky above rather than direct sunlight.
I particularly like the rim lighting on each bubble.
Technical Details: Linhof Technikardan, 240mm lens, Provia 100. No filtration.
