'Skipwith In Depth'

This image came the day after a New Years Day fall of snow at Skipwith, North Yorkshire.

I have been working for some time on techniques of using light to create 'depth' in images and the use of side lighting in this image has created a remarkable three dimensional depth to the picture. Its a bit like looking through the Wardrobe into Narnia and oddly hypnotic.

The fresh snow was wonderful, clinging to every branch and twig.
