'The Hole of Horcum'
I remember walking up the hole of horcum with my parents more than 20 years ago and it has held a fascination for me ever since.
I have tried to photograph the hole many times, very quickly finding the standard shot from the road.
However a couple of years before I made this image, I found the potential of this viewpoint and although I had made a trial image, I was not fully happy with the light and the time of year. One August morning gave me the conditions I wanted to make it work and I returned to the same spot to make this image.
