This fabulous pattern in the landscape occured to me as I started to descend Fleetwith Pike near Buttermere in the Lakes one winter evening. I was lucky (or mad) enough to be carrying a 200mm lens so that I was able to pick out the pattern of the road, wall and stream.

What makes it for me is the fabulous colour, enhanced by the frost.
