'Bluebells at Ashridge Forest'

The Bluebells at Ashridge Forest are simply amazing. For a couple of weeks of the year, the forest floor is a riot of blue. Nowhere better than here at Ringshall.

With this image I was simply trying to capture the atmosphere early morning. If you are interested in seeing them I strongly recommend you get there very early morning or late eveing, when they are at their most atmospheric.

The diffuse sunlight has protected the colour in the bluebells from washing out.

Technical Details - Linhof Technikardan, 240mm lens, no filtration. Provia 100. Scanned with an Epson V700.
