This is a theme Paul Moon and I have returned to many times, photographing the burned gorse in Millington. In fact, the very first time we met up, I made an image of these bushes.
Quite a lot of photography has been done by both of us since but it seemed fitting that one of my early black and white studies should focus on these gorse bushes.
Another one of those images that took an age to make as I sought to balance and resolve the elements in the image. I decided to run the plane of focus right down the spine of the bush - shooting almost fully open.
