An image made on a short but excellent outing to David Tolcher’s local patch in the Dales with David, Guy Aubertin and Paul Whiting.
We worked an excllent wood for quite some time but it was this wonderful stream that caught my (and Guy’s attention). Sometimes in the rush to ‘bag’ images we forget why we love the outdoors in the first place. It was one of the most peaceful and relaxing images made in quite some time. I felt simply privileged just sitting beside the stream and watching it (and the world) go by. Those of is who have hectic stressful day jobs can sometimes forget it is for places like this that we need to make space (and to protect them). This image will always take me back to the 30 minutes I spent just sitting and watching this scene.
