A recent trip with fellow Photographers Dave Tolcher, Joe Cornish and Nigel Halliwell to Robin Hoods Bay yielded this image.
Working the light in the summer is an exhausting experience. In June, good light at sunset can continue until gone 10:30 and start again for Dawn around 3.30 am. Throw in eager looks at each others recent pictures in between, and the 2:30 alarm call was not welcome!
However, getting to Saltwick Bay early was rewarded. We were treated to some beautiful pre dawn light. With this image, it is the subtlety of the pinks and blues that attracts me.
Thanks to Dave for the wonderful hospitality, Nigel for breakfast, Joe for yet more great inspiration and advice and all for wonderful company.
