The River Etive has some fabulous geology and nowhere is this more in evidence than in this stretch of the river.
What particularly attracted me to this image was the contrast between the rock on this side of the river and the red rock on the other and also the way the rock on the opposite bank descends deep into the river.
The composition achieves a key objective I look for in my image making - a sort of internal harmony where the eye is naturally drawn round and round the image, feasting on the fantastic colour and texture of rock.
The foam in the water turned into lines by the long exposure add the icing on the cake.
