The deer enclosure in Glen Etive has some superb trees growing in it, but it needed sublime conditions like this particular day to lift it beyond the ordinary.
I had made a trial exposure of the same composition a couple of days before knowing that either late catching light or something else altogether different would be needed.

I particularly like the way there is just the slightest hint of colour in the tree in such a monochromatic landscape.
