'Bishop Wilton'

These daisey flowers at Bishop Wilton make a magnificent sight. My friend Paul Moon has introduced me to the area and when out with him the potential for this composition occured to me, using the movements of the large format camera to make it possible for a 240mm lens to behave like it was a wide angle lens - with pin sharp back to front focus.

However, despite making a trial image, I knew the light was not right and hence I returned one evening a couple of days later to wait for the perfect light.

Technical Details: Linhof Technikardan, 240mm lens, rear tilt. No filtration.

Location: The Yorkshire Wolds
