With this image I was trying to add a sense of dimensionality to a familiar and often photographed location. I found a strong pattern to hold the viewers attention. The light was great but for me the icing on the cake was the timing - capturing the first rays of light to hit the Black Mount just before the wind got up and ruined the reflection.
Technical Details - Linhof Technikardan, 90mm lens, 2 stop grad. Velvia 100. Scanned with an Epson V700.
